Republicans File Lawsuit Opposing Redistricting Measure

The measure, Proposition 50, was approved by the electorate Tuesday night, representing a decisive victory for Democrats. The plan temporarily gives the authority to delineate electoral boundaries to the California legislature, enabling it to adopt district maps that will help Democrats pick up five congressional seats in the House of Representatives.
Countermeasure to Partisan Redistricting in Texas
