Los Angeles witnessed widespread celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Supporters worldwide joined Angelenos in jubilation, marking the initial time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area events included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Online footage show thousands of Angelenos flooding downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy proudly.
“My focus is already about the third time we’re going to do this,” the star player remarked through an interpreter.
The procession path ended at the stadium, where the players emerged to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and Ice Cube cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

The championship served as a positive moment in what has been a challenging year for the city. An approximate quarter-million people showed up to the Dodgers’ victory parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, fans this year demonstrated as much if not more support.
“I feel like it’s nearly twice from last year,” Freeman remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
