Former Physician Accused of Assault Allegations Involving Thirty-Eight Patients

Legal authorities report that a former physician has been charged with carrying out sexual assaults against 38 victims who were under his care.

The Grave Charges

The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous sexual offences – including some against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.

One senior prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a detailed and complex investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

The Investigation

The charges come after what investigators described as a “detailed inquiry” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.
