The assault caused the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in Lambeth on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was one of the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
